This notice explains how Ocat Digital Ltd handles information when you use the Ocat Assistant, the AI chat assistant on ocatdigital.com. It adds to our main Privacy Policy, which also applies.

What the Ocat Assistant is
The Ocat Assistant answers questions about Ocat Digital Marketing using information we have prepared about our services. Its replies are generated automatically by an AI model. It does not make decisions about you, and its answers do not form part of any offer or agreement.
Information processed when you chat
- Your messages and the assistant’s replies in the current conversation.
- The page of our website you are viewing, so the assistant can give relevant answers.
- Technical information such as your IP address, used briefly to protect the service from misuse (limiting the number of messages per visitor).
Please do not share sensitive personal information in the chat, such as health, financial or identity details.
How we use it
- To generate replies to your questions.
- To protect the assistant from abuse, spam and overuse.
- To fix errors and keep the service working.
We do not use chat conversations for advertising, and we do not sell them.
Our AI provider
To generate replies, your messages and the page you are viewing are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, which processes them on our behalf. Anthropic is based in the United States, so this involves an international transfer, which we protect as described in our Privacy Policy.

What we store and for how long
- Chat conversations: we do not store them on our servers. Your browser keeps the current conversation in temporary session storage so it stays open as you move between pages. It is deleted when you close the browser tab.
- Technical information for misuse protection: kept in our server’s memory for up to 10 minutes, then discarded.
- Error logs: if something goes wrong, our server may log technical details of the error for [log retention period].
If you choose “Leave your details”
If you use the Leave your details form in the chat, we store your name, email, any phone number and country you give us, the questions you asked in the chat, the page you were on, and your choices about being contacted and receiving updates.
We use this only to respond to you and, if you agreed, to send occasional updates. We keep it for [retention period, for example 24 months], or longer if you become a client. It may also be added to our CRM. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Legal bases (UK, Ireland and the EU)
We rely on our legitimate interests in answering questions about our services and protecting our website, on steps before a contract when you ask about our services or leave your details, and on your consent for marketing updates.
Accuracy of answers
AI answers can be incomplete or wrong. Please check anything important with us directly, by WhatsApp on +91 94801 81064 or through our contact page. The assistant does not give legal, financial or other professional advice.
Your choices
- Using the assistant is optional. You can contact us by WhatsApp, phone, email or the contact form instead.
- You can end and clear a conversation at any time by closing the browser tab.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete details you left in the chat, and use the other rights described in our Privacy Policy.
Children
The Ocat Assistant is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 18.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice, for example if we change AI provider or how the assistant works. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
